We've all heard the horror stories of the impact (literally!) that burst hoses have on and off site, particularly those hanging hoses that distribute concrete 20 metres up:

• the damage
• the delays
• the bad publicity
• the high cost and delay of replacement hoses
• the involvement of the HSE

And when do you change your hoses? When there is a chunk of rubber missing, when you see the wires, when the wires are rusty?
